Alabastron

Alabastron · 6th–4th century B.C.
Core-formed, brownish-purple alabastron decorated with a swirling thread of white. The edge of the mouth is also decorated with a white thread. Two small scroll handles are on the upper body, one on each side. The vessel is in good condition with some discoloration concentrated along one side. There is an area of repair near the bottom. The white thread has some areas of iridescence. The surface does have some visible nicks and scratches.
