κιθάρα, ἀοιδός

A. one who plays and sings to the cithara, Hdt. 1.23, IG 12.547, Pherecr. 6.1, Phld. Mus. p.28K., etc.: as fem., κ. γυνή Alciphr. 3.33.
II. a fish, found in the Red Sea, with body striped like the strings of a lyre, Ael. NA 11.23.
