A. τιμή 1) unhonoured, dishonoured, Il. 1.171; μετὰ πᾶσιν ἀτιμοτάτη θεός εἰμι ib.516; ἀτιμότερον δέ με θήσεις 16.90; ἀτιμότεροι, opp. λαχόντες τιμῆς, Thgn. 1111; ἄ. μόρος dishonourable, A. Th. 589; ἄτιμα δ’ οὐκ ἐπραξάτην, i.e. they have met their deserts, Id. Ag. 1443; ἄτιμος Ἀργείοισι by them, S. Aj. 440; ἔκ γ’ ἐμοῦ by me, Id. OC 51.

2. deprived of civic rights (cf.ἀτιμία), ἄτιμα τὰ τέκνα γίνεται Hdt. 1.173, cf. IG 1.37, 9(1).334 (Locr.), etc.; opp. ἐπίτιμος, Ar. Av. 766, Ra. 692, And. 1.80; ἄ. τὰ σώματα ib.74: c.gen.; ib.75; ἄ. γερῶν deprived of privileges, Th. 3.58; ἄ. τοῦ τεθνηκότος debarred from all rights in him, S. 3. of things, not honourable, Hdt. 5.6(Sup.); ἄτιμον ποιεῖσθαί τι hold in dishonour, S. Ant. 78; ἄτιμα ποιεῖν ἔς τινα Hdt. 2.141; ἄ. τοὔργον Ar. Av. 166; ἕδρα ἀτιμοτέρα less honourable, X. Cyr. 8.4.5; of parts of the body, τὸ τιμιώτερον καὶ τὸ ἀτιμότερον Arist. PA 672b21; ἀ. σκεῦος D.S. 17.66.

II. (τιμή 11) without price or value, τοῦ νῦν οἶκον ἄτιμον ἔδεις thou devourest his substance without payment, Od. 16.431; of little price, cheap, opp. τίμιος, X. Vect. 4.10.

III. Adv. ‐μως dishonourably, ignominiously, A. Pr. 197,919, Th. 1026, S. OC 428, v.l.in Lys. 32.17, etc.: Comp. ‐ότερον Pl. Ep. 309b, D.S. 1.67: Sup. ἀτιμότατα Pl. Lg. 728b.
