A. παραπληρωματικὸς σύνδεσμος Trypho in Kenyon Class. Texts p.116), εἴ ταρ, οὔ ταρ, to be read in place of εἴτ’ ἄρ’, οὔτ’ ἄρ’, as in Il. 1.65,93; there is Ms. authority for ταρ in 1.8, 2.761; in 18.182 one of the editions of Aristarch. had ταρ, the other γαρ, and codd. are divided: Cobet conjectured ταρ for γαρ, Il. 10.61 (where his cj. is now confirmed by two codd.), and in other places, Misc.Crit. 315:—on the relation between αὖταρ, αὖ, and ταρ, v. A.D. Conj. 254.2.
