Terra Sigillata Krater with Applique Reliefs of Vines

Krater · 1st century B.C.
One side of the cup is mostly black with fire damage, the rest is covered in a red gloss. Vines rendered in relief are now mostly missing. On one side is a chain of ivy leaves with berry clusters and two clusters tying the chain together. Behind, between two incised relief bands on the top and the bottom, is a series of vertical hatch marks. The foot is incrusted and missing much of the red gloss.
