Statuette of a Draped Female Figure

4th–3rd century B.C.
Statuette of a standing female figure. She wears a himation wrapped around her torso, covering both arms. Her right arm crosses her waist and holds the himation close; her left arm is partially extended, the hand, now missing. Her head is turned three-quarters to the right and her bent right knee suggests a slight contrapposto pose. Some traces of polychromy are preserved on the hair and lower part of the skirt. The statuette is similar in style to so-called "Tanagra" figures.
