Obverse: Bearded head of Leukippos wearing a Corinthian helmet, facing to the right. Inscribed: ΛΕΥΚΙΠΠ[ΟΣ] [LEUKIPP[OS]]. Reverse: Ear of wheat with a single leaf raised out to the right, above which appears a miniature kantharos. Inscribed, vertically on left: ΜET (abbreviation for Metapontum); to left of wheat stem: NA.
