Situla in Gnathian Style

375 BCE-325 BCE
Buff fabric with black slip with red mottled patches from misfiring. Decoration in added yellow, red, and white. White tongue pattern below rim. Two multi-colored bands below this. Central frieze with stylized grape clusters and vine tendrils in white on either side of a red stripe. Below this main frieze is a curvy wave pattern. Strap handle with added coils. Plastic female head below rim at end of handle. Strainer-like holes below rim at other side, with missing spout, perhaps also plastic. Restored from several fragments. Some plaster restorations.
