Oinochoe

Oinochoe · 600–300 B.C.
Core-formed, opaque white oinochoe decorated with a vertically combed zig-zag pattern. Threads of violet circle the shoulder, middle and lower body. The edge of the mouth is decorated by a violet thread as is the foot. The rim was pinched in three places to create a decorative spout and the handle was added by attaching a gather of opaque white glass to the shoulder and pulling it up to attach to the rim.
