Loom weight with Kneeling Child (Herakles or Eros)

3rd–2nd century B.C.
Hemispherical loom weight with two holes. On the front, a naked child kneels. He holds what may be a cloak in his lowered left hand, and raises his right hand above his right leg. The kneeling posture echoes representations of Herakles as a child, but the faint shapes behind the child could be wings, suggesting he is Eros.
This loom weight has yellow-beige clay, with a white slip.
