Loom weight with Gorgon Head

3rd–2nd century B.C.
Hemispherical loom weight with two holes. On the front, a Gorgon head, with wavy locks of hair. Two almost-straight snakes extend out from either side of the head, and an inverted U-shape is depicted below the chin, which might represent bound snakes.
The loom weight is made from light beige clay with yellow inclusions.
