Lagynos with Inscription

late 4th century B.C.
Reconstructed from fragments, the bottom half of the vessel is unglazed and undecorated with the exception of incised rings on the underside. The top half is decorated with yellow and brown bands. An ivy wreath in brown glaze surrounds the neck. An inscription appears beneath the neck opposite of the handle which is composed of twisted cords. The lip is decorated with brown glaze and a ring with downward pointing rays around the neck.
