Red-figure the Tyszkiewicz Painter · Stamnos · about 480 B.C.
Side A: Linos sinks into chair, holding lyre with left hand and with right tries to fend off Herakles who is about to strike him again with footstool. A music case hangs in background. Dilute glaze for musculature and added red for lyre details, case and Linos' wounded head. Side B. Komos scene. One youth plays the double flute while the other leans on a gnarled stick and carries a full wineskin. Broken and repaired.
