Engraved Scarab with a Nude Archer
about 500 B.C.
On this gem, a nude archer sits frontally with his legs spread out and looking towards the left. With his mouth open, he leans on his left knee and holds his left hand to his ear. In his right hand, he holds a bow and two arrows. On the reverse, a scarab beetle is carved.
