Beaker

1st century A.D.
This mold-blown beaker is made of yellow glass. The seam mark indicates that this beaker was blown in a two-part mold. Its cylindrical body is decorated with relief inscriptions in Greek between two wreath friezes. The flat base is impressed with a raised circle. An overblow is visible below the cracked-off rim. This beaker is severely weathered and was reassembled. The surface presents some patchy iridescence, accretions, and flaking. Small chips are missing near the rim.
