Attic Red-Figure Stemless Cup Fragment

Red-figure Kylix · about 425–400 B.C.
The fragment preserves the floor of the cup, with all of the molded foot. Within the tondo, a wreathed satyr sits to right upon a low stool. He holds a white ball-shaped object in one hand, and a patterned rectangular object in the other. He appears to be fanning a fire below (added white). Hanging above, a wineskin. In the exergue, a one-handled drinking cup. Inscription above and behind the satyr.
