Attic Red-Figure Kylix Tondo Fragment (comprised of 3 Joined Fragments)
Composed of three joined fragments, this preserves most of the tondo of a red-figure kylix. The foot and walls of the cup are missing.
Within the tondo is a youth moving to the right and looking back over his right shoulder. With his arms and legs bent, he holds double pipes in front of his chest. The youth wears a wreath in added red and a chlamys over his shoulder, but is otherwise nude. Inside a reserved band around the tondo is a painted inscription: ?AI [S] : KA?O[S] ("the boy is beautiful"). The exterior is covered with black gloss.
