The skyphos has a deep bowl with slightly everted lip, and a short flaring foot. The interior of the bowl is glazed and ornamented with a red circle at the bottom. The exterior of the bowl is glazed save for the reserved decorated zone above the foot, a reserved strip on the inside of each handle, and a reserved patch under each handle. One red line encircles the bowl just above the handle attachments, and a pair of red lines surmount the decorated zone above the foot. Below the pair of red lines: three glaze lines; a dotted band; two glaze lines; a band of fifty-three tongues, alternately red and black, separated by relief lines; and three glaze lines. There is a red fillet between the body and foot. Repaired in antiquity, five drill holes are visible near one handle.
