Attic Black-Figure Eye Cup Rim Fragment

Black-figure Kylix · late 6th century B.C.
Reassembled from two fragments, preserving part of the rim and handle root. Exterior, to right of handle, most of a large eye, painted white. The iris has a black and a red ring around a black pupil. Small red dot at centre. Brow above, and a black band just below the rim. Under the handle, swan (black) with outspread wings, standing on black groundline. Interior, black with reserved band beneath rim.
