Fragment depicts the upper torso of a woman facing left, shown in profile, whose skin is rendered in added white. On the left edge of the fragment, a male hand and part of a kithara are preserved. The man must be a musician, and in this context, he is likely Apollo. The woman is probably Artemis. The legs of the figures are preserved on other fragments from the same vase; Apollo wears a himation and Artemis, a chiton. The lower portion of the fragment shows part of the croup and loins of the right hand trace horse as well as portions of the quadriga’s reins and yoke. This fragment comes from side A which shows Dionysos, Athena and a bearded man in a chariot (possibly Herakles), and other standing figures (including Apollo, Artemis, and Hermes). Fragments that make up this amphora include: 86.AE.103.1-21, 86.AE.99, and 86.AE.101.
