Apulian Thymiaterion

The thymaterion is covered in black glaze and decorated with bright red and white paint. The top is decorated by a white ring and a pattern of rays in red paint. The neck and shoulder are decorated with red and white band. An undulating red line adorns the upper part of the neck and an undulating white line with red scrolls attached appears on the shoulder. The body is mostly reserved. Between two black glaze bands is a wavy black line with white scrolled tendrils and sets of three berries and ivy leaves. The foot is black.
