Amphoriskos

6th–4th century B.C.
Core-formed, dark blue amphoriskos with combed, zig-zag pattern in white and yellow around the upper body. The shoulder and lower body are decorated with spiraling yellow threads. The edge of the mouth is also decorated with a yellow thread. Two handles, one on each side of the neck, extend from under the mouth to the shoulder. The vessel has a small knob foot. In good condition, but with some discoloration and large areas of iridescence. There are no visible cracks or breaks, but some small nicks and scratches.
