II. mixture, compound, οὐ θνητὸς οὐδ’ ἀθάνατος, ἀλλ’ ἔχων τινὰ ς. but compounded so to say of both, Alex. 240.2; τὸν καιρὸν . . τῆς ς., i.e. the moment when the dish is neither too hot nor too cold, Id. 173.10; τὴν τοῦ βίου ς. Men. 685.
