Σκυθίζω

A. behave like a Scythian, i.e.,
1. drink immoderately, Hieronym.Rhod. ap. Ath. 11.499f; cf. ἐπισκυθίζω.
2. from the Scythian practice of scalping slain enemies, shave the head, ἐσκυθισμένος ξυρῷ E. El. 241; so [χαίτην] ἐσκύθιξε φασγάνῳ cut it off in mourning, Epigr.Gr. 790.8 (Achaea): cf. ἀποσκυθίζω.
3. talk Scythian, Him. Or. 30.1.
