2. Act., νέφεα ς. overshadowing clouds, Il. 5.525, Od. 8.374, etc.
II. unsubstantial, of a reflection in a mirror, and of the shadow on a sun-dial, τύπος AP 6.20 (Jul.), 9.807; κέρδος ὀνείρου ib.11.366 (Maced.).
