II. disease in which the bones near the temple become prominent, like Satyrs' horns, Id. 7.22; this and ς. 1 are combined in the early stage of elephantiasis, Ruf. ap. Orib. 45.28.2, Aret. SD 2.13.
2. swelling of the glands about the ear, Hp. Aph. 3.26.
