ῥαχός

A. thorn-hedge, S. Fr. 812 (pl.), X. Cyn. 10.7, cf. Poll. 1.225; in Hdt. l.c., ῥηχός is prob. palisade or wattled fence; brushwood, ῥαχὸς (Dor. acc. pl.) καὶ φρύγανα GDI 5027 (Crete).
2. generally, twig, branch, of the vine, Thphr. CP 3.7.3; of the tamarisk, Hsch., Phot., dub. in Orph. Fr. 31 ii 10.
