ποδίζω

A. bind or tie the feet:—Pass., to have the feet tied, to be hobbled, of horses, ἐπὶ ταῖς φάτναις X. Cyr. 3.3.27; ἀνὴρ κῶλον ποδισθείς S. Fr. 63.

II. furnish with feet, τὰ πεποδισμένα ζῷα Theol.Ar. 55.

III. in Prosody, measure by feet, scan, τροχαϊκῶς ποδίζεσθαι Eust. 11.37.
