A. earthen vessel for water, E. Fr. 592 (anap., = Critias Fr. 17 D.), Pamphil. ap. Ath. 11.496a, Poll. 10.74; used on the last day of the Eleusinian mysteries, which were hence called αἱ πλημοχόαι, Ath.l.c., Hsch.
