A. fetter : in pl., shackles, ἀμφὶ δὲ ποσσὶ πέδας ἔβαλε χρυσείας, of horses, Il. 13.36 ; of men, τοῖς ἀδίκοις ἀμφιτίθησι πέδας Sol. 4.34, cf. Thgn. 539, A. Pr. 6, Men.
