ον, Adv.
A. = παχύς, thick, massive, twice in Od., λάβε δίσκον μείζονα καὶ πάχετον 8.187 ; πάχετος δ’ ἦν ἠΰτε κίων 23.191. (Wrongly expld. by Hsch. and EM 656.53 as sync. from παχύτερον ; for the termination cf. περιμήκετος.)
2. tight, of a knot or ligature, Hp. Mul. 2.110 : neut. as Adv., Id. Cord. 6.
II. in later Ep. as neut. Subst., = πάχος, thickness, Nic. Th. 385 (dub.), 387, 465, Opp. H. 4.535 codd. (Oxyt. in codd. Hp. ll. cc.)
