παραλυπέω

A. grieve or trouble besides, ἄλλο παρελύπει . . οὐδέν no disease attacked them besides the plague, Th. 2.51, cf. X. Vect. 4.32, Thphr. CP 1.7.8 ; annoy by a diversion, Th. 4.89 ; ὅταν αὐτὴν μηδὲν . . παραλυπῇ Pl. Phd. 65c ; π. τοὺς πολεμίους τι Plu. Per. 35 ; οἱ παραλυποῦντες the troublesome, the refractory, X. An. 2.5.29 :—Pass., to be molested, ὑπὸ βασιλέων Str. 9.1.20, etc.
