A. = ἡμέτερος (cf. ὑμός for ὑμέτερος, σφός for σφέτερος, A.D. Pron. 111.18), freq. used for ἐμός, Il. 8.178, Od. 11.166, etc.; esp. in Dor., Pi. P. 3.41, 4.27, Theoc. 5.108; Lacon., Ar. Lys. 1181; Cretan, GDI 4952 D 23, etc.; Sicilian, IG 14.952 (Agrigentum); also Trag., A. Th. 417, Ch. 428, S. El. 279, Ph. 1314, etc. (Written ἀμός when = ἐμός by Demetr.ad Il. 6.414; but the distn. is not observed.)
