ἰχανάω

A. crave, yearn, v.l. for ἰσχ‐ in Il. 23.300, Od 8.288; τυροῦ ἀλώπηξ ἰχανῶσα Babr. 77.2:—Med., ἰχανᾶσθ’ ἐπαυρέσθαι Herod. 7.26, cf. Hsch. EM 478.44.
