A. be witness! says Cebes the Theban in Pl. Phd. 62a; Θήβαθεν ἴττω Δεύς, and ἴττω Ἡρακλῆς, says the Boeotian in Ar. Ach. 911,860, cf. Pl. Ep. 345a.
