A. penalty, θωὴν ἐπιθήσομεν Od. 2.192; θωὴν ἀλέεινεν Ἀχαιῶν a penalty imposed by them, Il. 13.669:—Att. θωά, ἡ, IG 12.114.42:— Ion. also θωϊή Archil. 109, BCH 50.214 (Thasos, V B.C.), prob. l. in Democr. 262: θωιιή, SIG 58.12(Milet., V B.C.): Att. gen. pl. θῳῶν with ι acc. to Choerob. in Theod. 1.405, but v. supr. and cf. θωάω.
