ές, Adv.
A. bearing onwards, i.e. far-stretching, ἠνεκέεσσι τρίβοις Nic. Al. 592. Adv. ‐κέως continuously, without break, τὸ πάντων νόμιμον . . ἠ. τέταται Emp. 135.2: neut. ἠνεκές as Adv., Arat. 445, Call. Aet. 1.2.8; of Time, ἠνεκὲς αἰέν Emp. 17.35, cf. Nic. Al. 517, etc. (Found in early Ep. only in compds., such as διηνεκής.)
