3. visit as a spy, spy out, LXX De. 1.22, al.: metaph., of a geographer, explore, Str. 8.6.4, 17.1.1:—Pass., περιγεγραμμένων τῶν μεταρσίων ἐφοδευθήσεται καὶ τὰ πρόσγεια Placit. 3.8.2.
