A. on or at the lips, γλῶσσα ἐ. a ready, chattering tongue, Poll. 6.120.
II. full up to the rim (i.e. not quite full, as the rim was deep), of Themistocles, ἐποίησεν τὴν πόλιν ἡμῶν μεστήν, εὑρὼν ἐπιχειλῆ Ar. Eq. 814.
2. later, brim-full, πίθος ἐ. τῶν ἀγαθῶν Them. Or. 13.174d, cf.8.115a: metaph., πλήρεις καὶ ἐ. ἁμαρτίαι Ph. 1.517.
III. with the lips drawn in, like old people, Alciphr. 3.55.
