A. ‐ψω Hsch.: pf. ‐τετριφα Ar. Lys. 952 : aor. 2 Pass. ἐπετρίβην[ι] Id. Th. 557, al.: fut. Med. in pass. sense, Luc. Icar. 33 (v.l. ἐπιτετρίψονται, as in Ar. Pax 246) : —rub on the surface, crush, κἄπνιγε κἀπέτριβεν v.l. in Id. Nu. 1376, cf. Ra. 571:—Pass., τυπτόμενον ἐπιτριβῆναι Id. Nu. 1408 ; ἐπιτριβόμενος τὸν ὦμον galled by the weight, Id. Ra. 88.
