Adj.
A. his, her own, Hom., Pi., Dor., Thess. (IG 9(2).250); not in Att. Prose (unless in A. Fr. 350 the word is Plato's), dub. in Trag., E. El. 1206 (lyr.):—τὸν ἑόν τε Πόδαργον his own Podargus, Il. 23.295; strengthd., ἑῷ αὐτοῦ θυμῷ in his own inmost soul, 10.204; ἑοὶ αὐτοῦ θῆτες his own labourers, Od. 4.643.
II. after Hom.(also v.l. Il. 1.393, al.), of other persons,
1. as Adj. 3 pers. pl., their, Hes. Op. 58, Pi. P. 2.91, freq. in later Ep., as Batr. 103, A.R. 1.1113, etc.
2. in Alex. Poets, = ἐμός, A.R. 2.226.
