A. swell or be swollen up, πληγαῖς πρόσωπον . . ἐξῳδηκότα E. Cyc. 227; νεκρὸς ἐξῳδηκώς Luc. DMort. 14.5, cf. Aristid. Or. 24(44).44: metaph., swell beyond its proper size, of a body in the state, Plb. 6.18.7.
