Or. 5.160c; ἐξισχῦσαι καὶ κρατῆσαι τῶν πολλῶν Plu. 2.801e.

II. c. gen., τὸ δαιμόνιον παίδων ἐξισχῦον fate prevailing over the children, Ael. VH 6.13, cf. Steph. in Hp. 1.71D.
