ον, Adv.
A. within the range or province of art, αἱ πίστεις ἔντεχνόν ἐστι μόνον Arist. Rh. 1354a13.
2. furnished or invented by art, artificial, artistic, Pl. Prt. 321d, al.; opp. ἄτεχνος, πίστεις Arist. Rh. 1355b36; ἡ ἔ. μέθοδος the regular method, ib.a4. Adv. ‐ως Id. SE 172a35 (condemned by Phryn. 327 (who however cites Adv. ‐ῶς from Lys. Fr. 314 S.)).
II. of persons, skilled, ἔ. δημιουργός a cunning workman, Pl. Lg. 903c, cf. Plt. 300e.
