II. contrariwise, the opposite way, τοὔ. σπεύδειν, κραίνειν, A. Pr. 204, Ag. 1424; λέγειν S. Tr. 358; ἀνατρέπειν ἔ. turn upside down, E. Ba. 348; ἔ. ὑποδεῖσθαι to put on one's shoes contrariwise (i.e. on the wrong feet), Pl. Tht. 193c; ἐκ τοὔ. ἤ . . from the opposite side to . ., Th. 3.22.
