II. causal, inspire with frenzy, αὗταί σε βακχεύουσι συγγενῆ φόνον; E. Or. 411, cf.HF 966:—Pass., Id. Or. 835; φιλοσοφία εὖ μάλα βεβακχ. full of mysticism, Plu. 2.580c.
