A. together with the men, men and all, ναῦς αὐτάνδρους ἀπέβαλον Plb. 1.23.7, cf. Sosyl.p.31 B., A.R. 3.582, Luc. Bacch. 3, etc.; πόλεις αὐ. ἀνῃρῆσθαι D.H. 7.60: hence αὔ. λαός the people, every man of them, J. BJ 3.7.31.
