hop on one leg, ἀσκωλιάζειν ῥᾷον ἐπὶ τοῖς ἀριστεροῖς Arist. IA 705b33, cf. Ael. NA 3.13, Plu. 2.621f, Gal. 11.106; also, jump up and down with legs held together, Sch.Orib. 3p.689D. (Signf. 11 may be original and the connexion with ἀσκός due to popular etymology.)
