A. without foot or feet, Pl. Phdr. 264c, Arist. HA 487a23, Corn. ND 16, etc.
2. without the use of one's feet, lame, S. Ph. 632; bad of foot, κύνες X. Cyn. 3.3; κακόποδες οἳ διὰ τοῦτο καλοῦνται ἄποδες Arist. HA 487b24, cf. Metaph. 1022b35, de An. 422a29.
II. as Subst., = κύψελος, sand-martin, Hirundo riparia; possibly also, the swift, Cypselus apus, Id. HA 618a31.
