ἀποτίλλω

A. ‐τιλῶ Cratin. 123: aor. ἀπέτιλα Ar. Fr. 686:— pluck, pull out, τὰς τρίχας Hdt. 3.16; οὐδὲν ἀποτίλας without pulling off any of the fur, Id. 1.123.
II. pull the hair off, pluck bare, τὰς κεφαλάς Ar. Lys. 578, cf. Luc. Gall. 28; ἀποτιλῶ σε τήμερον Cratin. l.c.:—Pass., ἀποτετιλμένος σκάφιον Ar. Av. 806, cf. Ec. 724.
2. of a fish, σαπέρδην ἀποτῖλαι Id. Fr. 686.
